Coolkenno History

It is a great honour to say that this page, a history of a small rural area, is a year old this week. It was started with the purpose of sharing information about local places, buildings and individuals of our past. I thank every single person who has contributed to this page with additional information, enthusiasm and support throughout the last twelve months. When this page was started, it was stated that Coolkenno wouldn't have the history compared to other places or towns but we can admit we have an amazing heritage around here. Once again I thank you all and to keep the flame lighting for the future. Over the next few weeks I shall be re-sharing some of the earliest posts as well as new ones.
